Kasia grew up in Hong Kong, moving to the UK for university at Cambridge where she studied Politics and International Relations. Alongside having four(!) languages in her verbal repertoire, Kasia has spent the last ~3 years at Seedrs, looking for and supporting founders raise capital – particularly those delivering a positive impact on the environment. She has also mentored at Founders Institute, scouted for Ada Ventures and ran her own venture which was acquired by Sojo.
I love that True has built a whole ecosystem around the consumer space. The fact that we have a VC, PE and Innovation team mean we get a really holistic view of the sector. It allows us to be the first to spot emerging trends, speak to the first startups on the scene and see what happens once they grow. As a team, we get to learn so much from having these different perspectives and in turn, be more helpful to the companies we work with.
We give money to really smart people that they need to solve big problems!
“Doing Good Better” is the classic introductory book to Effective Altruism. It’s all about rethinking our assumptions about what making an impact looks like, and lays out some unorthodox but hyperpractical ideas about how the average person can actually make the world a better place.
I’d love a way to easily coordinate times with friends to meet-up, and the logistics around it. Why is it so tricky to find a time when we’re both available, when our favourite restaurant also isn’t full that isn’t three months away?
A sharp founding team who are really passionate about what they’re building. I want to know what makes them care about this problem enough to keep them going through the rollercoaster that is founder life!
